I managed to download this game and play it, it was honestly amazing, however I haven't been able to find the steam key to add it to my Steam library, is there any way you could help?
Hi there and thank you for your kind words! If you got the game through a bundle (Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality, Bundle for Palestinian Aid, Bundle for Ukraine) it won't come with a Steam key. If you bought the game separately, there should be a "Claim Key" button right next to the Download button.
ever since i first played this game over a year ago, it's been stuck in my head. it's just so good -- the plot, the writing, the characters, the art. everything just comes together extremely effectively within the narrative. i found myself completely immersed in these characters and their lives and just ahh!! i genuinely have no words for how much i love this game and how excited i am to play it in full!
This is such a good game, i really enjoyed playing it. The characters are really nice and fleshed out, as is the story. The combat system is simple but amazing. I would recommend this game to everyone who likes rpgs, its amazing!
Any idea when the game might be complete? I got it some time ago but was planning on waiting for everything to be done, so I don't need to play half of it and then halt progress until the next update
Hi there! We aim to finish the game this year, but we haven't announced the date yet. We're doing our best to finish it soon and we can't wait to release the final chapter.
Excellent game, can't wait for the next chapter! The art is fantastic, the story is great. I really like sniper mode, it's a fun addition and much less frustrating than getting smoke bombed and stun gunned in regular combat haha
War is a terrible thing, and it benefits no one. Good to see that reflected here. The characters are great, I care about each of them, here's hoping none of them are lost to the horrors of war, but hey, I'm bracing myself for the inevitable
If I uninstall it, will I retain my save file for the next update? Or will I have to play the whole thing again? Is there an export save button?
I remember playing the Demo in 2018 and seeing this game fully completed gives me nostalgia. Haven't played it yet, but I'm downloading it as I type this!
This is such a great game. Or as I would call it on my language; UN JUEGAZOOO. I loved the story, the plots, the fight scenes, the humor in some scenes, the locations design, the character design and development, EVERYTHING. It made me want to grab 30 sheets of paper and draw all the characters akjsdak. I'm not usually interested in RPG games. But this game is simply THE game. This certainly deserves much more support.
The only bad thing about the game is that it leaves the expectation very high for other games, it will be difficult to find a game with such good quality as this one, hahan't T-T
Now I will wait patiently for the last chapter. And who knows, maybe a future Spanish translation :o?! (btw, sorry if my english was bad lol)
I was reluctant to buy it despite my interest from the moment it was announced due to too many devs running away with the money during development, now I got it in the Ukraine bundle and played it non-stop (the choice to include it was very fitting, although sad).
Amazing game, great story, some battles are just damn frustrating, the hit chance of status effects seems way too high compared to how many items you can find to cure them, I ran out of nearly everything, including healing items, by the end of chapter 2.
A way to compare equipment would be great as well, having to switch them out just to see the stats is quite tedious when you have a bunch of stuff.
Apart from that, I really enjoyed it and hope the devs will finish it, I want to know how their story ends.
I am also playing on a 2020 M1 Macbook Air. The game does not use the mouse as an input, so they cursor is hidden. You navigate using the arrow keys on your keyboard, 'x' is confirm and 'c' is cancel. Took me a little while to figure out, but now that I know, I am greatly enjoying this game!
I got this game with the 2020 Racial Justice bundle. Fantastic piece of work. Just wish it didn't feel so prophetic and hit so much harder a mere two years later.
Hi there! All that's left is the final boss fight and the endings which shouldn't take that long.
To be completely transparent (this is probably more information than you want to hear, but I think it's better than being silent about it), my health wasn't the best last year as I was overworking myself to make ends meet, and I finally saved enough to focus solely on Long Gone Days 100% again to make sure we'll finish it this year for sure.
How do I save? I just played a lot of the game and decided to quit, but the game didn't save, and I'm really disappointed(I played about an hour). While I might be up for replaying the parts I had already played so as to get further in the story, I still can't figure out how to save.
Hi there! I'm sorry you couldn't save, if you are still up for playing again, you can save by interacting with either one of these machines or these birds (the first one appears about 20 minutes in):
SE means Sound Effect (it's the same as SFX). This setting affects the volume of the whole game except for the background music. SE Dialog refers to that little sound that is triggered during each dialogue (some people don't like that kind of thing, so we added an option to disable it)
I'd love to, but I don't know if it's a possibility for us right now (we are a 3-person team) and releasing the game on Android is a bit tricky because of all the different screen resolutions and models. Sorry about that :(
It's possible that the game could be windowed to meet a specific resolution then scale based on that. Then add a border that represents the game nicely that deals with the remainder of the blank space. These borders could also change depending on where they are.
In terms of controls, you could probably find a decent template for on screen controls (make it scalable though as people may try to play it on a tablet. and having large thumb sticks is not fun, but having small thumb sticks on mobile isn't either)
So then you'd only really need to program it for specific aspect ratios, and that would make it easier since there's only a handful of those (16:10 - Tablet's like Samsun Galaxy Tab S7/+, 16:9 Most smartphones, 4:3 IPad's and 21:9 sony flagships but can also be used for other ultrawide smartphones) if you do want to focus on resolution, there's actually less than PC's. 4K (Sony Smartphones), QHD (Most flagships, most of samsungs add a few pixels, so rendering it at QHD and adding a border should be more than fine) 1080p (Most Mid-range, should be more than capable, even with the few that are slightly wider) and 720p (Low-end or older phones, though this might not be nessicary, as the hardware needed might not be in these phones)
Whilst I'd love to say that a single programmer could do this easily, it may need more time or people than just the proposed changes, as it would still need to be somewhat reprogrammed for a reduced instruction set, though if you are using a mainstream engine, it probablies already has the tools needed for these adjustments. It would then need to be repackaged for a different platform (Either for IPhones or as an APK). I'd probablies wait until all the chapters are out though, and most of any bugs there are squashed before you commit to it though, as it would be easier in the long term. That and managing 4 different versions of the game would be more of a pain.
Though, if you do end up doing it, let me know, as whilst I played it on steam I'd be happy to buy it on mobile.
Aaaand looking forward to the final chapter so please continue.
Buena suerte.
i bought this game in a bundle almost a year ago, i played in the moment and loved, i played last nigh again and i fell in love again. this game is just awesome and cant wait for the next part.
ademas...como latino aunque no sea del mismo pais saber que hay pequeños grandes titulos como este de verdad demuestra que el talento esta en todos lados y solo se necesita una plataforma y se puede llegar muy lejos salud exelente juego
I'm in love with this game and I absolutely gonna support it in any way I can.
For now I'm playing the early access and I'd just like to share some issues and suggestions:
- There's an annoying glitch (?) where you can't see an equipment's stats before equipping it.
- The combat difficulty needs to be addressed. I don't care about the RNG, but I think that a greater difficulty would make more sense since this game is all about conserving your items. This game seems to be the type where "every battle counts", so I'd love if it follows this direction. For now, combat quickly ceases to be interesting and difficult and soon starts to feel like a chore. I know this is VERY hard to adjust, and I'm willing to ignore this issue if the rest of the game can compensate for it, since the battles are not the main focus of the project.
- The characters speak all alike. They do have personality, but their way to act and talk could be more distinguishable.
I love the way the language barrier is addressed, the visuals, the soundtrack - even if it's just a placeholder, its mood fits very well - and, especially, the modern-day setting.
Long Gone Days is something I'm very happy I came across.
Loving the story and the art looks great. I completely rescind my comment about the combat earlier, I actually forgot about targetting and was only going for headshots...no wonder I kept missing. Kind of embarrassing :D
As much as I really wanted to enjoy this game and its story, combat system turned me off after first few battles. Slow pace of combat and high RNG dependency made it for me to be in the end as boring and frustrating and even as much as I got hooked by the story, I just dont want to continue playing if it means getting frustrated more by the combat system. I won't give any rate for now though, as I feel that I haven't played enough to justify final rating.

Aaah, that explains it, yeah I got it through a Bundle. I'll pay the game fully when its out of EA then, very impressed by this!
Oh, just in case, you'll get access to all the updates anyway if you got it through a bundle, so don't feel pressured to buy it again!

I ain't played an RPG for years, but a friend said to try this - and so glad he did, I really enjoyed it !!
Aww, I'm really glad to hear that ♥!
I really enjoyed this game. Just waiting for the last chapter :)

Thank you so much for your kind words! Save files are stored in: Users/<YourUser>/AppData/LocalLow/Bura/Long Gone Days
So I would suggest backing those files just in case. You will be able to continue the game using your current saves once we release the full version.
Just finished the game (or what's avaliable of it) and it's very good! can't wait for the rest of it!
Aww, thank you very much! We can't wait to finish it either!

this in the urkaine bundle💀
Enjoy this game so much. Really good RPG advanture. Creppy the way you predict its events.
Tried to play but the game makes my cursor disappear on my M1 Macbook Air (2020) so can't really enjoy it yet. Anyone have a fix?
I am also playing on a 2020 M1 Macbook Air. The game does not use the mouse as an input, so they cursor is hidden. You navigate using the arrow keys on your keyboard, 'x' is confirm and 'c' is cancel. Took me a little while to figure out, but now that I know, I am greatly enjoying this game!

Wow. Just a Beautiful Looking game with cool gameplay so far too. so glad i could pick this up in the charity bundle for Ukraine!
Thank you so much for donating to the bundle!! We're really glad to hear you liked it!
I do hope someone make promotion for this game. Cause i was thinking abouth this game when Russia invaded Ukrain.
I only played part 1, maybe now is time for me to play part 2.
Looks very cool! I'll wait until this is finished and play it then :)
cute
is this a one-time clear game, or infinitely playable? (ex. terraria, stardew.. yknow like that)
Has this game been finished? The last update in August said it was going to be finished by the end of the year.

Hi thank you a lot for your game it's really nice 🥺, i love it , but i have one request form you , please do it :
Please please please release it on Android devices please 😭😭😭😭😭😭.
Please accept my request

This is an amazing game! I will actually sell my soul to play the last chapter right now
Aww, thank you so much! I can't wait to finish the last chapter and show to everyone what we've been working on!
Hey if i got this game in a bundle is there still a way to get a steam key?
Hi there! None of bundles come with a Steam key unfortunately, but you'll still have access to all the new updates as soon as we release them.
Thanks, that was my question too.
Hey! Just bought and played through it today. Can't wait for the last chapter(s)!
Thank you so much, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Does this have controller support? Thanks
Hi there! Yes, you can use a PS4/Xbox controller to play.

Hi there! Will there be a Linux version? I know in the FAQ a Linux version is mentioned. Is that still on the roadmap?
Hi! For now it's still in our post-full release plans, unless something unexpected happens.
